About me
I’m Tim, a customer experience professional from the Kansas City area, currently working as an Associate Director of Experience Design for VMLY&R.
Throughout my design career, I’ve been slightly obsessed with answering the “why”. I believe that the difference between good design and great design lies in rooting solutions in customer insights and validation. Something “looking good” and “looking on-brand” is not enough and I believe we should advocate for UX best practices and user-testing through the design phase.

My expertise covers the full range of digital product design, branding, user experience, and business design. I’m passionate about building solutions – both digital as well as physical – that solve customer needs and pain points while delivering a world-class design. I thrive in situations where I can own a problem, analyze the holistic customer journey, and design solutions across all of the customer touchpoints.
Giving back
Share, Help, and Inspire
Besides my work responsibilities, I’m very passionate about giving back where I can in the community. I’m currently the Director of Outreach for UXPA KC, through which I mentor UX Practitioners and setup UX events in the Kansas City area.
Additionally, I like to share my passion and prepare others for a career in the UX industry. I frequently visit Northwest Missouri State University – from which I graduated – to speak in UX Classes, network with students, and provide support to the University’s career services.
